ACOS is Honduras’s Aplicación de Asuntos Consulares. It provides account registration and consular service arrangements for participating offices, including Los Angeles. Scheduling an appointment is free; the requested document or service may carry an official fee. This independent guide links to the government portal and does not collect your account or identity details.
Official ACOS access for Los Angeles
Check that the browser address belongs to asuntosconsulares.inm.gob.hn before entering identification, passwords or payment details. Opening this link does not create an account or reserve an appointment.

First-time registration
- On the official login page, choose registration and select the appropriate applicant type: Honduran or foreign national.
- For Honduran registration, prepare your DNI and names, birth date and residence details exactly as shown on your documents.
- Use an email account you can open and your contact phone number. Keep a secure record of both: the recovery form asks for the details used at registration.
- Create and confirm your password on the official portal, and review the information before submitting.
- Follow the displayed confirmation instructions and check your email, including spam, to complete any requested activation steps.
The official Honduran applicant form requests these details. Do not post them in comments or send them to someone promising a slot. If you already have an account, try recovery before creating duplicate registrations.
Prepare and confirm the appointment
- Sign in using your registered email and password.
- Choose the Los Angeles office and the actual service needed. Review its document requirements before proceeding.
- Check the dates or arrangements offered. Availability depends on the office and an immediate slot is not guaranteed.
- If service payment is part of the process, verify the description and amount and follow the official portal’s instructions. A service fee is separate from free appointment scheduling.
- Complete the steps shown and save confirmations and receipts. Check the applicant, location, service, date and time before traveling.
Labels and steps after sign-in may change. An unfinished form, screenshot or pending charge alone should not be treated as a confirmed appointment. If the status is unclear, contact the office before paying again or creating another request.
Forgotten password or missing email
Use official ACOS account recovery. It asks for the registered email and phone number, with no spaces or hyphens in the phone field, and says a new password will be sent to the associated email. Complete recovery yourself through the government page and do not share your password.
If no message arrives, check spam and the email address used. If you cannot access the registered contact details, ask the consulate for guidance. Do not publish your DNI or account details when requesting help.
Prepare your service documents
The services available depend on the selected office. Before booking, review the relevant guide:
- Honduran passport applications, renewal, minors and fees.
- DNI enrollment and replacement or delivery lookup.
- Carta poder and other powers of attorney.
- Authorizations involving minors.
An account or appointment does not replace personal attendance and original documents. For several services, ask the office whether they can be coordinated and what booking each requires.
Cancellation, rescheduling and payments
The published ACOS terms describe rescheduling and requesting a refund through Honduras’s Finance Ministry after a missed appointment or unmet requirements. A request is not an automatic refund, and cancellation does not guarantee another available slot.

Common questions
Does ACOS charge for an appointment slot?
Scheduling is free and subject to availability. A passport or document fee is not a fee for a slot. Do not pay intermediaries for guaranteed appointments.
Do I need to download an app?
You can open the official website in a browser to follow this guide. Do not install files sent by unknown people.
Can I book using someone else’s details?
Applicant information must correspond to the person receiving the service. For minors or representation, ask the office how to handle the case and do not enter another person’s information without authorization.
