Honduras’s pre-check system is an official travel information service. The procedure and entry requirements can change, so check the portal and the airline shortly before departure. This independent guide does not confirm that pre-check is mandatory for every traveler or route and cannot approve a travel request.
Use the official pre-check portal
Start at the National Migration Institute pre-check portal. Follow the live instructions shown there for registration, travel details, identity documents, submission, and confirmation. Do not rely on old instructions that specify a fixed number of days, required health tests, or a guaranteed email response.
Before submitting
- Check that your passport or other travel document is valid for your trip.
- Enter names and document numbers exactly as shown on the travel document.
- Use the official portal to confirm whether your route and traveler category require a pre-check and when to complete it.
- Save the confirmation or reference number and follow the portal’s instructions for presenting it.
- Contact the airline and Honduran authorities if the portal is unavailable or the status is unclear.
Account access and password recovery
Use only account recovery links reached from the official portal. Never share your password or a verification code with a person offering to complete the process for you. If the portal does not recognize your account, use the support contact published there.
Travel document and consular services
If you need a Honduran passport or another Honduran consular service, consult our Honduran consulate directory and confirm availability with the relevant office. Consulates do not decide entry permission or replace instructions from the Honduran migration authority.
Confirmation, QR code, and presenting your pre-check
Follow the instructions shown after you submit the form. If the portal generates a confirmation, reference number, or QR code for your case, save or download it and check the portal or airline instructions for how to present it. The portal determines what proof is issued; this guide cannot confirm that every traveler or itinerary requires the same QR code.
Migration pre-check vs. customs declaration
The pre-check is handled through the National Migration Institute (INM) and concerns travel information. A customs declaration concerns the goods you carry. They are separate processes; review the official instructions for each. See our Honduras customs declaration guide.
Official source
Use the official migration pre-check portal for current instructions. Check again close to travel because requirements may change.
